Carlos Santana has canceled his scheduled concerts

A forced stop: Carlos Santana broke his finger and was forced to cancel his concerts.

During a walk in the Hawaiian Islands, the 77-year-old American-born Mexican guitarist fell and broke the little finger of his left hand. This means that the legendary artist of “Smooth”, “Black Magic Woman” and “Samba Pa Ti”, as Adnkronos explains, will not be able to play the guitar for a certain period of time, as announced by his manager on the musician’s Instagram profile . The concerts scheduled in Las Vegas from January 22nd onwards have been postponed. “Carlos is well and is eager to return to the stage soon. He just needs to recover – we read in the statement from his staff – accidents happen and his health is our first concern”. The dates of the concerts to be made up will be announced later. The fall occurred on the island of Kauai, where Carlos Santana owns a vacation home. The injury is not simple. Apparently, so-called ‘pins’ have been inserted into the musician’s finger, i.e. elements that should stabilize the bone. “Unfortunately he won’t be able to play the guitar for about six weeks. But the doctors say he will make a full recovery”, we read in the official communication.
