Canzonissima, the fifth episode: songs and setlist
“The song I would have liked to write” will be the theme of the fifth episode of Canzonissima, the remake of the historic Rai variety show, hosted every Saturday evening on Rai1 by Milly Carlucci. The singers of the cast will perform songs that they would have liked to have composed. Here’s who sings what:
Enrico Ruggeri – “Hard-faced” by Pierangelo Bertoli
Fabrizio Moro – “But the sky is always bluer” by Rino Gaetano
Leo Gassmann – “A sense” by Vasco Rossi
Michele Bravi – “The best years of our lives” by Renato Zero
Fausto Leali – “The actor’s suitcase” by Francesco De Gregori
Malika Ayane – “In the blue painted blue” by Domenico Modugno
Irene Grandi – “Albachiara” by Vasco Rossi
Elettra Lamborghini – “Happy Birthday” by Raffaella CarrĂ
Arisa – “In the gardens that no one knows about” by Renato Zero
Vittorio Grigolo – “Losing love” by Massimo Ranieri
Jalisse – “Roman Holiday” by Matia Bazar
Riccardo Cocciante – “The sky in a room” by Gino Paoli
The Canzonissima of the episode will be chosen by three voting members: a jury of personalities from the world of entertainment (Claudio Cecchetto, Francesca Fialdini, Pierluigi Pardo, Riccardo Rossi, Simona Izzo, Caterina Balivo and Giacomo Maiolini), the singers themselves (who will be able to vote for their favorite song excluding their own) and the public (through “hearts” and “likes” on social media: the same voting mechanism as “Dancing with the Stars”).
The first episode was won by Fabrizio Moro with “Il mio canto libero” by Battisti/Mogol. The second from Arisa with “The football levy of the class of ’68” by Francesco De Gregori. The third by Vittorio Grigolo with “Caruso” by Lucio Dalla. The fourth from Arisa with “La notte”.
