In January 1973, Columbia Records shipped to stores the debut album of a young rocker who grew up in Freehold, a working-class town in the hinterland of New Jersey. The album was titled “Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ” and would prove to be one of rock music's most legendary debuts. Fifty years later, that young rocker is still around, filling stadiums and arenas and continuing to make great records, like the latest “Only the strong survive”. Celebrating Bruce Springsteen's golden wedding with music is a collection of his historic songs, from “Greeting from Asbury Park, NJ” from 1973 to “Letter To You” from 2020, just released by Sony Music.

Furthermore, it made Springsteen one of the most in-demand artists in the world, surpassing the 140 million records sold worldwide (more than 70 million in the United States alone) and becoming the first artist in history with a Top Five album in six consecutive decades. Springsteen is too one of four artists to have sold more than 20 million concert tickets since 1980including i highest-grossing world tours of 2012 and 2016.

On May 23, 2024 Bruce Springsteen will receive the most important and prestigious honor for songwriters: he will be admitted into the Ivor Novello Academy with a ceremony that will take place in London at the Grosvenor House. The iconic American musician will become the first international singer-songwriter who L'Ivors Academy admitted in 80s. The prize, established in 1955, is awarded by the composers and authors who are part of the Ivor Novello Academy and is dedicated to composers and musical authors.
