Bruce Springsteen resumed touring: here's how it went
Last night at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid Bruce Springsteen resumed the European leg of his tour which was abruptly interrupted last May 25th, shortly before the scheduled concert in Marseillefrom the words of this statement, “Due to a lowered voice and on doctors' orders, Bruce Springsteen is unable to sing or take the stage this evening.”
In addition to the concert in Marseille, the Boss was also forced to skip the live shows in Prague and the two scheduled in Milan which should have taken place on 1 and 3 June. Unfortunately Springsteen's busy schedule does not allow him to make up the shows during the summer, for this reason the four concerts will be made up next year: Marseille on May 31st, Prague on June 15th, while the dates for the two Milanese concerts are 30 June and 3 July 2025.
In last night's show in Madrid, two new features relating to the current tour found space in the setlist: “Frankie Fell in Love”a song included in the 2014 album “High” (read the review here) and the cover of the famous “Rockin' All Over the World” Of John Fogerty which hadn't been performed live since 2016. The European tour of Bruce Springsteen will then continue with the second of the three dates dedicated to Madrid tomorrow evening, to close on July 27th at Wembley Stadium in London. Starting from August 15th, he will return to perform in the United States, precisely in Pittsburgh.
