Bruce Springsteen judges the biopic with his story at the center
Bruce Springsteen visited the set of the film “Deliver me from nowhere”, which will tell the story of his life and artistic journey, and wanted to publicly praise Jeremy Allen White, the star of “The Bear” who will play him on the big screen. As a guest on a radio show, Springsteen spoke about his experience on set and confessed that it was a little strange to see an actor portray him in such a profound way. “But you get used to it pretty quickly – he explained – and Jeremy is really a fantastic actor, he’s the right person. The fans will appreciate the way he plays me. He did a great job.”
He then focused on the “Bear” star’s vocal skills. “He sings very well, just very well,” he added. Jeremy Allen White had previously revealed that before arriving on set he had had the opportunity to exchange various emails with the American rock icon, as well as having been able to meet him at the concert scheduled for London, at Wembley Stadium, in order to fit into the role in the best possible way. The biopic is based on Warren Zanes’ book, “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska” and follows Springsteen’s journey during the making of the album released in 1982.
