Blink-182, Travis Barker Offers Updates On New Music
Two years after Blink-182 returned to their historic lineup, with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker reunite with longtime sidekick Tom DeLongeand not even a year after the release of the album “One more time…” (read our review here), the Californian trio seems to be ready to publish new material.
Last July, the group’s drummer had piqued the curiosity of fans by asking in a post shared on X/Twitter: “Who’s ready for ‘One more time part 2’?“. Today, August 19, Barker returned to social media sharing updates on Blink-182’s next project and leaving no doubt that new music is on the way from the band.
“One More Time Part 2 delivered, mixed and mastered for you guys,” Travis Barker wrote in his new post. At the moment, however, it is unclear whether “One More Time Part 2” will be a deluxe version of their 2023 album or if it will be an entirely new studio album arriving as a sequel to their previous work, their first effort since “Neighborhoods” (read the review here) of 2011 with the historical formation.
The drummer’s post comes two months after the live debut of an unreleased song“Can’t Go Back,” performed by Blink-182 in Orlando, Florida, on June 20. Also, last week, before the band’s concert in Detroit, some fans noticed a merch booth playing what they thought were songs over loudspeakers they seemed like new songs. Written on the side of the van was the date August 19, teasing a big announcement.
Blink-182, once again formed by Mark, Tom and Travis, returned to perform in concert in Italy on October 6th in Bologna, where the world tour in support of “One more time…” stopped.
