The British musician has already offered a first anticipation of his next study work by sharing the Single “Still Dancing”accompanied by a video directed by Steven Sebring, director of the documentary candidate for Emmy “Patti Smith: Dream of Life”.
Speaking of the song published as the first extract of “Dream Into it”, Billy Idol explained: “‘Still Dancing’ is a reflection on my entire journey. From the punk rock period to date. And I continue to look to the future, to live the life I had decided to live. At the beginning of the song I remember the early days in London, when I lived in the squats or in the apartments of friends, with all my belongings in a plastic bag. “And again:” At home or at work, everyone told me that what I was doing would never happen. But Punk rock gave me an opportunity I was surrounded by people who loved music as much as me, and you just had to throw yourself, believe in what you did and cling with all your strength.
As the song says, along the way there have been many moments of self -destruction. But what supported me was that unshakable faith in music, born all those years ago. And it was the greatest gift of all “.
