Billie Eilish is now the most listened to artist in the world on Spotify. As announced by the Swedish streaming giant itself with a post on X/Twitter, the pop star has reached this milestone with over 100 million monthly listeners on the platform, surpassing The Weeknd and Taylor Swift, who both surpassed that mark in 2023.
In recent days, the Canadian musician himself, born Abel Tesfaye, shared an update on the monthly listening trends, cheering for the voice of “Bad Guy”.
As of now, Billie Eilish is the only artist in the world with 100 million monthly listenerssurpassing The Weeknd, who currently has over 99 million monthly listeners, and even detaching Taylor Swift who now stops at 91 million. The Californian singer-songwriter she is also the youngest artist in the world to have surpassed 100 million monthly listeners.
As noted by Music Business Worldwide, eight of Billie Eilish’s 82 tracks – who released her new album and third studio album “Hit Me Hard and Soft” (read our review here ) in May – have surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, landing them in the Spotify Billions Club. These hits include collaborations like “Lovely” with Khalid (2.9 billion streams) and solo tracks like “Bad Guy” (2.6 billion streams), “When the Party’s Ove (1.9 billion streams), “Everything I Wanted” (1.7 billion streams), “Ocean Eyes” (1.5 billion streams), “Happier Than Ever” (1.4 billion streams), “Idontwannabeyouanymore” (1.1 billion streams) and “Bury a Friend” (1 billion streams).
