Notice for those who intend to attend one of the upcoming concerts of Garbage: better not to throw objects on the stage. Especially beach balls. Someone did it in Melbourne, and the reaction of Shirley Manson she didn’t wait long.

“You guy with the fucking beach ball,” the singer says into the microphone, during the concert, “Oooh, I’m so scared of you. I’m so shocked by you. What a fucking asshole.”

Subsequently, Manson returned to the episode with a post on Threads, where he wrote:

I don’t apologize AT ALL for getting annoyed by beach balls at concerts. I joined a band because I HATED THE FUCKING BEACH. I joined a band because I wanted to listen to Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure and be dark and gorgeous. Keep listening to Spotify and throwing your stupid beach balls around like you’re ten years old. I love the music community and want to respect their art. I’m so tired of people taking free music and treating us all like circus performers.
