Baroness: this is the band that is about to arrive in Italy
After more than two years of absence they return to Italy in Baroness. The American psychedelic/stoner hard rock band performed for the last time in our country on June 26, 2022 at the Scaligero Castle in Villafranca di Verona.
The quartet, currently composed of John Dyer Baizley (vocals and guitar), Gina Gleason (guitar), Nick Jost (low) e Sebastian Thomson (drums), born in 2003 in Georgia.
After two EPs, their long-distance recording debut came in 2007 with “Red Album” listed as “Record of the Year” by the American magazine Revolver specializing in heavy metal.
That album was followed by five others released between 2009 and 2023. The latest is “Stone”.
Live activity is also intense with several headline tours, opening acts for Metallica, Mastodon and Deftones, as well as participation in numerous metal festivals and more.
Their story also includes a dramatic car accident in 2012, when the bus accompanying them on tour in Great Britain fell off a viaduct. The band members suffered fractures to their limbs and vertebrae. The accident led to the departure of the bassist and guitarist from the group and replaced by those currently in the lineup.
Baroness will be on November 6th at the Live Club in Trezzo sull’Adda, just outside Milan. The Americans will perform before them Pallbearerleading name of the new international doom metal scene and the Swedes Graveyard.
