Axl Rose and Slash on Michael Shenker's new album

The frontman of Guns N' Roses Axl Rose participated in the new album of Michael Schenker, “My Years with UFOs”. As reported by Loudersound, the album has not yet been announced but is available for pre-order on the Amazon website, where September 20th is indicated as the publication date.

The album features new recordings of songs by UFO dating back to the period in which Schenker played in the band. According to the tracklist reported by Amazon, Axl Rose sings in the new version of “Love To Love”originally included on the album

“Lights Out” of 1977. Among the other guests present on the album, the guitarist of Guns N' Roses Slash, Dee Sniderthe frontman of Ratt Steven Pearcy, Roger Glover of the Deep Purple And Biff Byford of the Saxon.”

The album is presented by Amazon with these words: “For the first time, Michael Schenker revisits the classics of his years with UFO. The Schenker era, from 1972 to 1978, is regarded as the period in which UFO achieved success internationally with hits such as “Doctor Doctor”, “Rock Bottom” and “Lights Out”. In 2024, to celebrate the 50th anniversary, Schenker re-records 11 of his hits from this UFO era, with guest stars such as Axl Rose, Slash and Dee Snider.”

According to the Facebook page Slash Addict, the voice of the frontman of Guns N' Roses was recorded in June last year in London during the Californian band's European tour, while Slash's contributions were recorded in the same month but in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The former singer of the band is still among the guests Rainbow Joe Lynn Turner, Joel Hoekstra of the Whitesnake, Joey Tempest And John Norum of the Europe, Carmine Appicethe former frontman of Skid Row Erik Grönwall, Jeff Scott Soto, Kai Hansen of the Helloween and the ex Whitesnake Adrian Vandenberg.
