Amsterdam, Nicki Minaj stop

Yesterday, Saturday 25 May, Nicki Minaj was arrested at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam because she was found in possession of marijuana when boarding a flight to the United Kingdom: according to what was reported by the customs authorities of the country, the forty-one-year-old singer was charged with the crime of exporting soft drugs. The artist was left free to continue her journey after identification procedures and payment of a fine. The “unscheduled” prevented the voice of “Everybody” from performing that evening in Manchester, where one of the tour stops was scheduled which will also pass through Italy on July 3rd.

On her social media channels, Minaj claimed to have been detained in a cell for “5 or 6 hours”, denying any wrongdoing – the substance, according to her version, would have been the property of one of her staff members – and accusing entities not better identified as wanting to sabotage his live activities.

“They paid a lot of money to try to sabotage my tour,” Minaj explained on Twitter: “There are a lot of people mad at me, because I'm successful and they can't get rich behind my back. People who stole money during my trips. I caught them and fired them, and they went crazy.”

“So they managed to boycott me this evening,” the artist informed Manchester fans, who will soon be able to recover the last-minute canceled date: “But I managed to catch them and record them in real time. I have a lot of video evidence. You wouldn't believe it. However, I will make sure that the lawyers and God take care of it. Please accept my sincere apologies.”
