After nine years a new solo album by Warren Haynes

The frontman of the Gov’t Mule Warren Haynes has revealed details of his new solo album “Million Voices Whisper” – which will be released on November 1st – and has released the first single “This Life As We Know It”. In the solo discography of the American musician, the album comes nine years after the previous one “Ashes & Dust” (read the review here). The album will also be available in a deluxe CD version containing four bonus tracks.

Speaking about his new effort, Haynes said: “It was great to get into the studio to record this material with this new band of amazing musicians. This album is very different from my previous solo records. It’s very soul influenced, but very song-oriented with subtle nods to some of my heroes. It’s great to be back in the studio with my brother Derek. A big thank you to him as well as Lukas and Jamey for being a part of it. I’m really proud of this new album.”

About the first single,
“This Life As We Know It”
says: “It has a very uplifting message and, musically, it’s a very positive feeling song. A song that I feel like we can all relate to. It’s about moving forward and overcoming a lot of things but feeling good about life and feeling good about yourself.”
