Adele announces a four-date residency in Monaco

Adele will make her acting debut in this film set in Italy

On an (indefinite) break from music, Adele reinvents herself as an actress. According to what was reported by very authoritative newspapers close to the world of Hollywood such as Deadline and Variety, the voice of “Someone like you” will star alongside Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth and others in the film “Cry to heaven” by director Tom Ford, the same as “Nocturnal Animals”. The film is scheduled for release in late fall 2026.

“Cry to heaven” is Ford’s adaptation of the 1982 novel of the same name by American author Anne Rice. The story is set in 18th century Italy and follows a Venetian nobleman and a castrated Calabrian singer, both seeking success in the world of opera.

According to previews, the film is currently in the pre-production phase and work is taking place between London and Rome. Filming is expected to start in mid-January.
