Adele announces a four-date residency in Monaco

Adele: “I don’t feel like recording albums”

Don’t expect a new Adele album anytime soon. In a recent interview with German broadcaster ZDF, the artist confirmed that she has “no plans for new music” and shared her desire to work on other things. Specifically, she said, “I want a big break after this tour and I think I want to do some other creative stuff, just for a while.” When asked if she “had time to record new music,” Adele replied, “I get nervous about wearing out my voice during the residency I’m doing. There’s a lot to sing… I haven’t done anything new yet. I haven’t even thought about it.”

In January, Adele took it a step further by speaking to fans during her “Weekends With Adele” residency in Las Vegas. “I don’t think I’ll be writing an album for a long time,” she said. “But the next time I do, I’ll be everywhere.” Adele still has a few more touring commitments before she can take a break. The singer will perform a series of shows in Munich, Germany next month. The “Adele World” stadium pop-up shows will feature a 100-foot-tall LED screen and a 4,000-square-foot stage, valued at €40 million. Adele will wrap up the remainder of her “Weekends With Adele” residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in October and November.
