A series of eight stamps to celebrate AC/DC
The AC/DC I am the last band to be honored with their own stamp from the British Royal Mail.
The collection, which will arrive on February 18 and is currently available for pre-order on the Royal Mail website, was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s debut album, “High Voltage“from 1975.
The stamp presents eight live images of all their career, as well as four stamps dedicated to album covers “High Voltage“,”Highway to Hell“,”Back in Black” And “Power up“.”
In all, 38 different variants and collectible sets are available for fans of AC/DC, including presentation packs, collectible sheets, prestigious sheets and commemorative medals of the song “Live Wire” and the album back in black.
In 2018 the AC/DC were the subject of a collection of stamps in their hometown, Australia, although some fans protested because some of the stamps did not use the original Australian cover.
Before the AC/DC already Beatles they were the subject of a series of Royal Mail stamps in 2007, followed by Pink Floyd In 2016, come on Queen in 2020, come on Rolling Stones in 2022, by Iron Maiden in 2023 and by Whoho last year.
After being inactive for most of the last decade, the AC/DC returned to the scene last summer for a European tour of 24 dates. On April 10 in Minneapolis they will kick off their first North American tour after over eight years, and then return to Europe for other dates starting from June, including that of Imola on 20 July 2025.
