A new album for Beirut announced

The disc is anticipated by the single “Guiricke’s Unicorn” accompanied by a video

THE BeirutZach Condon’s project have announced a new album inspired by the German novel “Verzeichnis Einiger Verluste” (“Inventory of some lost things” in the Italian edition) of the German writer Judith Schalansky. The book, released in 2020, won the European Strega Award.

“A study of loves”, this is the title of the album (borrowed from “An Inventory of Losses” English title of the German novel), is made up of 18 tracks and was commissioned by the Swedish circus Kompani Giraff For an acrobatic show.

The disc contains the single “Caspian Tiger”, already shared previously, and the new song “Guiricke’s Unicorn”, out today, together with a video with choreography, puppets and scenography made by the Kompani Giraff.

“A Study of Losses” (Settimo Album dei Beirut) is released on April 18 via Pompei Records and arrives at about a year and a half from “Hadsel”, the latest album by Zach Condon as Beirut, released in November 2023 .
