A duet between Madonna and Elton John will come out, says Jake Shears

According to recently stated by the Cantantr Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters, a duet between Madonna and Elton John could soon see the light. The news comes after a few weeks ago the musical icons finally “buried the war ax” about their long feud, when the queen of pop faced Pinner’s musician behind the scenes during his recent appearance at the “Saturday Night Live”.

Now, Shears – who collaborated with John for the Broadway musical “Tammy Faye” – suggested that a song recently written by the voice of “Tiny Dancer” for the superstar of “Like a Virgin” could be a duet. Speaking with Nick Grimshaw in the podcast “Siderracked”, Jake Shears said: “Everything I can say is that the things Elton has in store are incredible. He could hide great surprises”.

The reconciliation between Elton John and Madonna follows a public clash that dates back to the early 2000s, when he criticized Madonna’s main song for James Bond’s film “Die Another Day”, calling her “The worst Bond song of all time”.

Subsequently, John accused the pop star of “Lip-Synching” during his 2007 live concerts and rekindled the feud before the 2012 Super Bowl show, when he told her to make a “good lip-synching”. Furthermore, that year, the “Rocket Man” defined Madonna “a Luna Park stripper” and sentenced that “his career was over” also criticizing it for having defined Lady Gaga “Born This Way” “reductive”.
