A documentary on Paul McCartney after the Beatles: the trailer

There is a trailer for a documentary that chronicles Paul McCartney’s career after the Beatles: it is called “Man on the Run”, directed by Morgan Neville (“20 Feet From Stardom”) and explores Macca’s post-Beatles phase, recounting his process of artistic reinvention after the group’s dissolution.
The documentary combines archival material, never-before-seen interviews and live performances, and offers an in-depth look at the period in which McCartney redefined his musical and personal career. It is arriving next February on Prime Video: according to what was reported by the Anglo-Saxon press, the documentary also represents the cornerstone of a collaboration between McCartney, Universal Music Group and Amazon, which could include new exclusive music, merchandising and unreleased archive materials. The documentary is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Tremolo in collaboration with MPL and Polygram Entertainment. Executive producers include Caitrin Rogers and Paul McCartney himself.

Still on the subject of the post-Beatles period, a “definitive collection” of Wings is arriving from McCartney, the band he founded in 1971 after his farewell to the Fab Four and composed together with his wife Linda, drummer Denny Seiwell and guitarist Denny Laine. The box set is simply titled “Wings” and will be available starting November 7th. Overseen by McCartney himself, it includes a booklet that includes an introduction by Paul. The 3LP and 2CD editions include a 32-page booklet with photographs, paintings, trivia and information about the band.
