Maarten Devoldere (Balthazar) returns with new Warhaus single

“The Donkey”Warhaus’ new album, will be released early next year – on January 15 – by the Play It Again Sam (PIAS) record label. Now we can hear a preview.

The song “One Day” comes wrapped in a game of powerful percussion and synthesizers, with a falsetto voice that contrasts with the love song that it presents with a different and unique tone than what is associated with songs with love as the protagonist, “I wanted the band to sound like a DJ. I wanted the love song to sound like a threat,” explains Maarten Devoldere about his instrumental and stylistic choice for this single.

This album represents a change in what has been previously seen in Devoldere’s discography, leaving aside his melodies wrapped in a pop atmosphere, in this project he seeks to explore a new sound, which he will present in Spain with two dates in 2027, the April 20 at Razzmatazz 2 in Barcelona, ​​and April 21 at Sala But in Madridwhere he will continue his journey on this European tour through Lisbon and Porto.
