Trentemøller and Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes) together again in “Your Love Walks Alone”
The Danish producer Trentemøller presents “Your Love Walks Alone”, the third preview of what will be his next album and his new collaboration with Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes).
“Your Love Walks Alone” is the third single from Anders Trentemøller’s new album, in which he collaborates again with Sune Rose Wagnervocalist and leader of The Raveonettes. The song combines border electronics between digital and analog with layers of industrial distortion to give shape to a composition of heartbreak with Gothic overtones.
Danish producer and composer Anders Trentemøller is a key figure in European electronic music of the last two decades. After breaking out in Copenhagen in the early 2000s, he achieved international exposure with his acclaimed debut ““The Last Resort” (06), a reference for minimal techno and microhouse for its meticulous and melancholic sound. Since then, he has signed a constant artistic evolution that ranges from club electronics to post-punk, shoegaze and film music.
Trentemøller and Sune Rose Wagner already coincided in 2013 with the song “Deceive”, from the album “Lost”. Trentemøller explains that they had been planning to repeat the experience for some time and that, when composing this instrumental base, he knew that it fit the style of Wagner, who returned the track recorded with his characteristic stamp in record time.
Thematically, the song addresses the progressive extinction of affection and the emotional impact of feeling replaced. Sune Rose Wagner defines it as “a portrait of the purest love that slowly fades away”while Trentemøller highlights the nuance generated by an accessible vocal melody when contrasted with dark and persistent instrumentation. Trentemøller’s new album will be available next November 13.
