Geordie Greep accused of rape in Vancouver
Greep responded from the stage to an accusation of sexual misconduct in the room The Pearl of Vancouver on Thursday (October 8). Before the concert, an attendee handed out leaflets saying “Geordie Greep is a rapist” and “You know what you did this morning, October 8th.” The brochure did not offer further details about the accusation.
Finally, Greep took the stage two hours later without his band and addressed the audience directly, explaining that he had been at a house party after a night out with members of his touring crew and that it was all a misunderstanding. “I would never rape a woman. I’m not a rapist. Things didn’t happen like that,” he said.
He then went solo after saying that he would make refunds to anyone who wanted to leave for what happened and announced that the proceeds from the Vancouver concert would go to an anti-violence organization. Geordie Greep was scheduled to continue their North American tour with performances in Boise, Salt Lake City, Boulder, Denver and Omaha but all five concerts have been canceled without any public statement being issued in this regard.
