Abraham Boba will present his show “163 centimeters” in Madrid

Abraham Boba presents “163 Centimeters”a show based on the texts and images of the book with the same title, published by Book Snatch. It is an autobiographical journey in which performing disciplines are mixed, with the author himself as the only actor on stage, interacting with the projected images and transforming himself into people he was in the past, or has never been, but with whom he has shared the circumstance of being a short man.

The show is not a play, nor a performance, nor a concert, nor a poetic recital, nor a humorous monologue, and at the same time it is all of that. The images do not function as scenic support, but rather illustrate the journey through the text, using family videos from decades ago and images recorded for the occasion, with a montage somewhere between cinematographic and documentary. For this, Boba has counted on the Asturian photographer and filmmaker Sara Condadowith whom he had already collaborated on his band’s music videos, Leon Benavente. León Benavente’s technical team has also been in charge of the lighting and sound design of the show.

The show has already passed through Murcia, Seville and Lanzarote, and the Next October 8th it will arrive at the Conde Duque Cultural Center in Madrid. Tickets now on sale.
