Mick Jagger pays tribute to his 'favorite playwright'

Rolling Stones, return to tour: in Europe in 2027?

Anticipation is growing for the Rolling Stones’ return to the recording scene, who will send their new album “Foreign Tongues” to stores on July 10th. And with it, the one linked to the return of Mick Jagger and his associates to the stages also grows. Rumors regarding a tour scheduled for the summer of 2025 also in Europe, with a stop at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, had already begun to circulate two years ago. Then, the freezing shower: the cancellation of all plans due to the inability of Keith Richards, struggling with arthritis, to play live. Now, however, something seems to be moving. We’ve been talking about a new tour for a few weeks. And to confirm the Stones’ intention to return soon on the road Mick Jagger will take care of it now.

In an interview on the US TV network program Sunday Sitdown, the Stones frontman said:

“I don’t think we’ll do shows this year, but I hope we can do them next year. I would like it very much. I really want this… and I’m ready to go.

The idea would be to resume the tour project originally planned for last summer, following the same established itinerary. In 2025 the Stones had booked the Olympic Stadium for the date of May 29th. When rescheduling next year’s Italian passage, they will have to take into account Vasco Rossi and his “Jubilee”, the celebrations linked to the fiftieth anniversary of his career: the rocker from Zocca has chosen to celebrate the anniversary in Rome, with a series of concerts – ten in total – at the Olympic Stadium, which according to rumors he will announce shortly. The shows should all take place in June.
