Vasco Rossi: the songs from the setlist he rehearsed in Rimini

A surprising setlist, full of rarities, gems for historical fans and songs less obvious than the classic workhorses. The fever is growing for Vasco Rossi and his tour. And when there are now two days left before the general rehearsals open to members of the Zocca rocker’s official fan club, scheduled at the Nereo Stadium in Rimini on the eve of the debut on Saturday 30th, the first concrete previews of the setlist and the songs that are part of it arrive. During the tests in RiminiVasco Rossi brought out a particular selection of songs that immediately sparked the curiosity of the fans and which were spoiled through videos that appeared on social media.

They range from “A new song for her” to “Ciao”, from “I was excluded” to “(For what I have to do) I’m in the military”, passing through “Alibi” And “Soap bubbles“. All included in a setlist with which Blasco seems to want to satisfy those who, for some time, have been asking for more variety in concerts and a greater presence of less inflated songs compared to the great classics always present in live shows.

“A new song for her” it had been missing from the setlist for forty-one years: Vasco only played it on the 1985 tour linked to “Cosa trova in città”, the album of which the song was part. “For what I have to do (I’m in the military)“It has been missing from Vasco’s concerts for sixteen years: the last time the rocker sang it was in 2010, during a concert at the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence. Before then he had played it once in 1997 (at the Fillmore Live Club in Cortemaggiore) and a handful of times between 1995 and 1996. It is one of the songs least played live by Vasco.”HI” has been missing from the set list for eight years: Vasco last sang the classic from “C’è chi dice no” from 1987 on the 2018 tour (and before that tour he hadn’t sung the song for eleven years). Choices that seem to reward the most loyal fans, those who know every nuance of the Zocca rocker’s discography and who have been waiting for years to listen to some of the less frequented pieces live on recent tours.

Among the songs tested there are also more popular songs such as “Every time”, “We are alone”, “Rewind”, “A better world”, “Ti prendo e ti portavia”, “Albachiara”, “Sally”, but it is the gems that have most excited the fans on social media.

The tour after the debut in Rimini will continue throughout June. On 5 and 6 June Vasco will perform at the Giorgio Bassani Urban Park in Ferrara, on 12 and 13 June at the Arena in Olbia, on 18 and 19 June at the San Nicola Stadium in Bari. While waiting for the party for 500 thousand fans that Vasco has already said he wants to organize in 2027 for the fiftieth anniversary of his career.
