Last: the guests of Tor Vergata, between Moro and the Venditti mystery

Last Sunday, guest on Domenica In, Antonello Venditti “spoiled” that on July 4th he will be a guest of Ultimo in Tor Vergata, on the stage of “La favola per semper”, the record-breaking concert with 250 thousand tickets sold with which the Roman singer-songwriter will celebrate his ten-year career. Now it is Ultimo himself who gives a preview of the concert and who will take the stage. With a post on Instagram, the voice of “The ball of uncertainties” announced that Fabrizio Moro will perform before he goes on stage: «I want to say it clearly: I don’t see this as an opening to my concert, but as a real concert of his before mine», writes Ultimo. Who then underlines: «He will be the only artist to be there. Because that’s right.” From Ultimo’s words it is not clear whether Fabrizio Moro will be the only artist to perform before him or whether, instead, Fabrizio Moro will be the only guest artist at the Tor Vergata concert (despite Venditti’s “spoiler”). To clarify, a press release released by Fabrizio Moro’s entourage reads: «Fabrizio Moro will be the only guest of Ultimo on July 4th in Rome Tor Vergata».

Last in his post he talked about the bond with his colleague, remembering when ten years ago he opened his concert at the Palazzo dello Sport: «I woke up and asked myself who it is that can be close to me on such a unique day of my life like that of the 4th of July. I have met many artists in these 10 years of career, but the only name that kept echoing inside me was you. 10 years have passed since I opened your concert at the PalaLottomatica in Rome, and I have never forgotten that tachycardia before going on stage.”

Moro, for his part, shared the letter that his young colleague wrote to him at the time: «13 years have passed since Niccolò Moriconi, aka Ultimo, wrote these words to me. I remember like it was today when he entered the dressing room of one of my concerts for the first time and, shyly, asked me what I thought of his songs. Reread the words of this letter carefully and think that, after 13 years, on 4 July 2026 we will see him go up on the “biggest” stage that Italian music has ever seen in its history. A stage that was built with great talent, yes, but above all with a determination that I have rarely seen in a boy of his age. And this is precisely the thing that struck me most about him from the beginning. Thank you, Nic… Not for the invitation, not for the satisfaction I feel today and not even for your friendship. Thank you because, through your steps, you have confirmed to me something that I have always believed in but which, as the years go by, I sometimes forget: “In such a dark and hopeless era, those who live with dreams hanging can still make a difference”».

The one who certainly won’t be in Tor Vergata on July 4th is Ed Sheeran: Ultimo fans were expecting a new duet after last year’s concert at the British pop star’s Olympic Stadium, but on July 4th Ed Sheeran will be in concert in Denver, in the USA, on the other side of the Atlantic. Eros Ramazzotti won’t be there either: on July 4th his daughter Aurora will marry her partner Goffredo Cerza in Lentini, in the province of Syracuse.
