King Crimson releases live album “2014 NYC”

THE King Crimson have announced the release of a new live album for July 10th which will be titled “2014 NYC”on double 200 gram vinyl and double CD. This new release comes from the band’s four-night tour of New York in September 2014, their first tour in six years, which saw the group debut with a three-drummer lineup: Gavin Harrison And Pat Mastelottoalready members of previous groups of King CrimsonAnd Bill Reiflinwho he had previously collaborated with Ministry And REM

“2014 NYC” is taken from live multitrack recordings of the band’s performances between September 18 and 21. The vinyl was mastered by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering and pressed on 200 gram audiophile vinyl. The album includes new liner notes edited by Sid Smithbiographer of King Crimson.

This release marks the beginning of a series of live releases by King Crimsonall on 200g double vinyl and double CD, which will focus on the band’s live activity from 2014 to 2021. A double Blu-ray containing the entire 19-date 2014 US tour, which will also include this compilation, will be released in the fall of 2026.
