Afterhours: new dates of the “What isn't there

Almost a week after the first announcement, Afterhours announce new tour dates to celebrate their 40 years of music and the 25 years of the 2002 album “Cosa non c’è”.

The tour, entitled “What isn’t there – Tour 2027”, will bring the band on tour in major European and Italian cities between January and February next year. After the first appointments revealed, the dates of Nonantola (MO, 23 January), Rome (18 February) and Milan (25 February) double.

The occasion is the celebrations for 40 years since the release of their first 45 rpm single “My Bit Boy” (1987), which marked the debut of the group, and the 25th anniversary of the album “Cosa non c’è” (2002)a fundamental piece in the history of the Milanese band and Italian music. On stage, the lineup will see, alongside the frontman Manuel Agnelli (vocals, guitar), Andrea Viti (Bass),Dario Ciffo (violin, guitar), Giorgio Prette (battery) e Giacomo Rossetti (multi-instrumentalist).

Published in 2002, “What isn’t there” follows two fundamental records – “Are you afraid of the dark?” And “It’s not forever” – who had defined the artistic trajectory of the band and consolidated the project as one of the most solid and recognizable realities of the national alternative scene. With “What isn’t there”, Afterhours take a further decisive step that will definitively consecrate them, bringing them to the center of the Italian rock scene.

“We were tired of shouting iconic refrainsto show cynical irony towards the realities of life that disgust us. Making fun of things is part of Italian culture, but now it’s no longer the time to joke: we need to face the reality of the facts head on. Today’s world disgusts us and we must say it without many smiles”, so Manuel Agnelliwith words that sound more current than ever, at the time presented the 9 songs of the albuman album that surprised everyone, both for its dark and introspective lyrics and for the musical part that made it a timeless work.
