Springsteen commented on the attack on Donald Trump from the stage
Bruce Springsteen opened his concert last night at Moody Center in Austin (Texas) recalling the attack that occurred on Saturday at the White House correspondents’ dinner and offering a “prayer of thanks that neither our President, nor any member of the administration, nor anyone present, was injured”.
The New Jersey rocker continued, “We can disagree. We can criticize those in power and we can peacefully fight for our beliefs, but there is no place, in any way, shape or form, for political violence of any kind in our beloved United States.”
Springsteen is currently busy in
“Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour”
which he presented as a “celebration and defense of our American ideals, our democracy, our Constitution” and regularly used his keynote speeches in concert to forcefully condemn the actions of the president of the United States
Donald Trump
in his second presidential term.
