Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) announces new album

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter has announced his new album ‘Mirage – Ballet For 16 Dancers’.

The album will be released on June 5th, in digital format and on vinyl, CD and in a limited edition on Revox tape.

The music provides a soundtrack for a ballet for 16 dancers, choreographed by Damien Jalet and the contemporary artist Kōhei Nawa.

The first taste is available from today (April 24), in the form of the song ‘Mirage: Part II’

Since Daft Punk disbanded in 2021, Bangalter has composed the soundtrack for the film “DAAAAAALÍ!” and also worked on the music of ‘Chiroptera’, a work created in collaboration with the artist JR and the choreographer Damien Jalet. The second act was presented to the public on November 12, 2022.

In 2023 he also published the orchestral soundtrack of the ballet “Mythologies”.
