Bon Jovi take their historical repertoire on tour

Next July will mark the return to the stage of Bon Jovi with a tour that will start from Madison Square Garden of New York. The choice of venue is not random: the US arena has historically represented the crucial hub for the band’s restarts over the decades.

After a period of absence from the stages, the formation has structured a ladder which favors the consolidated historical repertoire over any new productions. The live proposal therefore focuses on a catalog that has demonstrated notable resilience to the changes in the recording industry: from the dynamics of the 1980s to the current streaming ecosystem, the band’s songs maintain constant circulation even among the new generations.

Although successes like Livin’ On A Prayer, It’s My Life And Always remain the most immediate points of reference, the solidity of the Bon Jovi project is reflected in the whole evolution of their discography. The journey, which began with the albums Bon Jovi (1984) e 7800° Fahrenheit (1985), achieved maximum media exposure with Slippery When Wet (1986) e New Jersey (1988), and then continued with a redefinition of the sound through works such as Keep the Faith And Crush.

The imminent live return, therefore, does not aim to inaugurate a new stylistic phase, but rather to enhance a musical archive vast and widely recognisable. After the New York debut, the tour will continue through the United States before moving to Europe, with dates already scheduled in the United Kingdom, Scotland and Ireland.
