Juli takes Coez back to basics

Juli’s new album with Coez, Fulminacci, Olly and Bresh

After having racked up successes with the most famous names in contemporary Italian music, the producer Juli he is ready to make the big leap as a soloist. Next April 24 will mark the debut of “Usual cinema”, a project that is not just an album, but an ideal meeting point between the old guard and the new generation of national pop and urban music.

The name of the album, “Solito cinema”, has its roots in the artist’s daily life: it is the expression that Juli usually uses with her group of friends to describe the extraordinary and sometimes surreal situations experienced in recent times. The album was born almost involuntarily: a path that was not planned on the drawing board, but developed naturally through studio sessions and meetings that allowed different styles to be merged into a single sound story.

To testify to the esteem Juli enjoys in the environment, there is a tracklist full of high-sounding names. The album ranges from sacred monsters such as Fabio Concato And Biagio Antonacciup to collaborations with contemporary pop heavyweights such as Thomas Paradise, Frank 126 and Enrico Nigiotti. There is no lack of an author’s touch with Thunderboltsnor the energy of Bresh, Thirteen Peter And Ollythe latter fresh from a tour of the sports halls of which Juli took care of the artistic direction. An acoustic version of “Brutta storia” also stands out, featuring a duet together Emma and Elisa.
