Ringo Starr’s secret against aging

Ready to publish his next April 24th new and twenty-second solo album“Long long road,” Ringo Starr shared in a recent interview its personal and unusual secret to slow down aging.

On the sidelines of a chat for the US edition of “Rolling Stone”, the former Beatle – among other things – told how he manages to stay fit to continue working in the recording studio and touring with new music. When asked what his secret was to keeping the energy high, the 85-year-old drummer replied:

“Well, you need to eat more broccoli. All the good things about me I attribute to broccoli.”

Then, playing with his famous phrase, Ringo Starr added: “So now I say: peace, love and broccoli“.

Already last year the former Fab Four had given fans some more details about his eating habits during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” confirming, to the audience’s surprise, that he would never eat pizza, “nor a curry”. Ringo Starr later clarified that he was “allergic to several foods” and that, in the case of pizza and curry, “you never know what the hell is inside”, so the risk of tasting them would be too high for him: “I’m very hard on myself because they make me feel bad immediately“he said.

Ringo Starr’s new album, “Long long road”, which will include – among other things – contributions from St. Vincent, Sheryl Crow and Billy Strings, was anticipated by the single “It’s been too long“, written together with T-Bone Burnett, who produced the entire album, as he had already done with the previous project released last year “Look up”.
