Kanye West invites Lauryn Hill and Travis Scott to the stage

Last night, April 3, Kanye West held his second show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles after the first live broadcast last Wednesday, which was even broadcast in its entirety on Instagram. During the second Los Angeles date of the 2026 tour, which will stop at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia on July 18, 2026, the rapper – who now calls himself Ye – was joined on stage by a series of special and surprise guests. Among these, they rose to the scene Lauryn Hill and Travis Scott. The latter will also be in concert in Italy, expected at the same festival as his colleague at the former Campovolo on 17 July 2026.

Kanye West kicks off tour after releasing eagerly awaited new album “Bully” (review here), finally released last March 25th. From the new album, some songs were performed on the stage of the SoFi Stadiumalong with surprise collaborations. In addition to hosting – among others – Cee Lo Green And Andre Troutmanaround the middle of last night’s concert it arrived Travis Scott for “Father” and “Fe!n”. Next, the rapper took to the stage Lauryn Hill, who appeared in clouds of smoke in a loose flowing dress. As the two stood on the large sphere-shaped stage platform, the audience cheered when they started.All Falls Down,” marking the first time they ever shared the stage. Always a big fan of Hill, Ye had sampled his track “Mystery of Iniquity” on 2004’s “All Falls Down.” At the time, he was unable to secure the rights to use the original sample on the official release, opting instead to have Syleena Johnson re-record the parts featured on the version of “The College Dropout.”

After performing a version of “Doo Wop (That Thing)” from his debut album, Lauryn Hill he told the audience, “I brought some people with me,” and they were joined by his sons Zion Marley and YG Marley with whom he sang “Praise Jah in the Moonlight”, the 2023 debut single written together by mother and son, and if it was Hill’s presence that sent the audience into raptures, Ye then brought many other surprise guests on stage during the show.
