Eurovision 2026: here’s when Sal Da Vinci will perform
The official “running order” of the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has been published: 30 Countries competing, 20 places available for the final and a lineup that, numbers in hand, can make the difference. Over the last 15 years, for example, the last performer has qualified 86.67% of the time, while the second half of the lineup has been more successful than the first. PIn Italy the spotlight is on Sal Da Vinci, winner of the Sanremo Festival 2026, who will bring “Per semper Sì” to the stage of the first semi-final on May 12th. From 2024 the Big 4 (Italy, France, Germany and the United Kingdom) and the host country, this year Austria, will also perform live in the semi-finals despite already having qualified. Meanwhile, the Eurovisual journey has already begun between pre-parties and live shows around Europe: from Amsterdam to London, where Sal Da Vinci will also be the protagonist. A warm-up before the big stage, where he will bring Italian tradition in front of millions of spectators.
“Bringing Italy to Eurovision is for me a great honor and a responsibility that I accept with profound respect – comments Sal Da Vinci – during my career I have been lucky enough to perform on many international stages and meet different audiences, but every time you have the opportunity to share Italian music in front of the world the feeling remains unique. Our musical tradition has an extraordinary history: it is made of melodies, words and feelings that have always managed to cross borders and speak to people’s hearts. Being among the artists called to carry forward part of this heritage today fills me with pride. I will go up on that stage with gratitude – continues the winner of Sanremo 2026 – and with the desire to tell what Italian song does best: transforming emotions into songs capable of traveling far. Because when a melody is born with truth it no longer belongs only to those who sing it: it becomes everyone’s and finds the way to get everywhere.”
