Vicenza, Noto and Fennesz in homage to Ryuchi Sakamoto

For the first time in its history, the Teatro Comunale di Vicenza will host a show of contemporary experimental electronic music: on April 8, in fact, the Sala Maggiore of the structure will be the setting for the only Italian date of “Continuum – In the spirit of Ryuichi Sakamoto”, a tribute to the Japanese composer and performer who passed away in 2023, brought to the stage by Alva Noto and Christian Fennesz.

The show, presented as “a tribute to the legacy of the Japanese genius, but also a projection towards the future of sound experimentation”, combines the live sets of the two artists with ad hoc projections and visuals: tickets for the evening are available on TicketOne at the following prices (to which presale rights and any additional commissions must be added):

Sector A (files A, AA, BB): 57.00 euros
Sector B (BL file): 51.50 euros
Sector C (MY file): 44.50 euros

Noto, considered one of the leading figures of the contemporary experimental electronic scene, was a collaborator of Sakamoto, with whom he signed eight records and composed the soundtrack for the film “The Revenant” by Alejandro González Iñárritu, nominated for an Oscar in 2015. Fennesz, identified by critics as one of the most authoritative voices in the glitch music segment, was also a collaborator of Sakamoto, with whom he created the “Cendre” albums (2007) and “Flumina” (2011), as well as the live – published in 2005 – “Sala Santa Cecilia”.
