Sal Da Vinci and the criticism: “Mine is a love song”

A few days after the victory in Sanremo 2026 with the song “Per semper Sì”, Sal Da Vinci returned to Naples and this afternoon – March 5 – he celebrated in his neighborhood.

Holding the Festival Trophy, the singer-songwriter celebrated with those present in Largo Torretta in the Chiaia area, and thanked for the support and support received, singing some verses of the winning Sanremo song broadcast over the loudspeakers. Precisely regarding his song “Forever yes”, during his speech, Sal Da Vinci stated: “I felt your warmth. I haven’t read anything, but I’ve received a lot of provocations, maybe sometimes the mind generates things that are a little strange. I simply brought a song that talks about love. If love is a violent thing, then perhaps we are probably in the wrong world”. After thus referring to some criticisms that have arisen in recent days around the lyrics of his song, without naming names, the artist added: “I beg you, I beg each of you, I truly ask you with humility: don’t respond to the provocations that are made to us, it’s of no use. Let’s think about the music and think about all the beautiful people of this land and that’s it!”.
