Don't Look Back in Angers: the story of the Oasis reunion

How much they collected Oasis with beers sold in London

Yes, ok, with the 250 thousand beers sold for each of the five evenings in London – 1.25 million pints in all – Oasis have beaten the record of drinking: the British newspapers reported that the agency that manages catering has made official iThe overtaking of the Gallagher brothers on Coldplay and Taylor Swift as regards number of pints drained for a single evening at the Wembley stadium. At the Coldplay concerts last year the fans had purchased 120 thousand beers in the evening, to those of Taylor Swift “Just” 40 thousand a show. But how long did the organizers of the Oasis concerts collect thanks to 1.25 million beers sold?

According to the New Musical Express, the cost of a glass of beer in Wembley for the Oasis concerts was equal to 8,20 pounds, that is to say 9.40 euros. Considering that 80 thousand tickets were sold for each concert, according to the average, fans bought 3 pints each, to reach 250 thousand beers sold in the evening. For each show, the collection relating to the only beers sold was 2.05 million pounds, i.e. 2.35 million euros. Multiply by five – how many shows held by the Oasis in Wembley – this figure reaches 10.25 million pounds, that is to say 11.75 million euros. “Beer here now”, titled New Music Express, ironically, citing the title of the third album of the Oasis, “Be Here Now”, dated 1997.

And while in the United Kingdom the Reunion tour continues to collect one triumph after the other, in continental Europe there are voices – some without foundation: the calendar circulated on social networks in the last few days, in which two evenings were marked at the San Siro stadium in Milan, is completely invented – relating to the announcement of dates for 2026. According to recently stated by the councilor for major events, sports, tourism and fashion of Roma Capitale Alessandro Onorato there would be ongoing negotiations to bring the “Wonderwall” band to Rome in the summer of next year.
