The Interrupters announce album with “Back From The Dead”
The Interrupters They have released a second song from what will be their next album, while sharing its name and release date.
“Back From The Dead” comes after “Warrior Spirit” as a preview of the fifth full-length album by ska-punk band The Interrupters, pointing to a more pop direction for the album, which will be titled “Battle Scars”.
“Battle Scars” will be released on January 29 through Epitaph and will be the Californian band’s first album in four years, as well as a clear step towards new musical horizons for the Bivona brothers’ group, oriented towards new wave and even with details of electronic pop.
“Back From The Dead” is a song that addresses the personal rebirth of its vocalist, Aimee Interrupter, after a near-death experience and her struggle to leave alcohol behind.
Produced by Kevin Bivona and Tim Armstrong (Rancid, Operation Ivy), and recorded on analog tape, the album also features the collaboration of Jesse Michaels (Operation Ivy), who co-writes two songs and participates as a vocalist on “Stranger”, and Travis Barker (Blink-182).
On the other hand, it is worth remembering that the group will return to Spain in May 2027 to perform in Madrid (May 17, 2027, La Riviera), A Coruña (May 20, Pelícano), Bilbao (May 21, BEC; + Reconstruction Tour and Haywire; under the name of Bilbo’n’Roll) and Barcelona (May 22, Poble Espanyol; + Reconstruction Tour and Haywire>; under the name of Barna’n’Roll).
