Sade: here is the first song after six years
Sade is back, six years after her last record release.
The voice of “Smooth operator” has just released a new song, “Young lion”. It is a letter-song to his transgender son, Izaak Theo Adu, who says: “Listening to a song in which a parent acknowledges their mistakes and expresses remorse for not fully understanding their child’s identity can be incredibly validating and healing. This song can be a beacon of hope and a reminder that parents can learn, grow and finally accept their children for who they truly are. I hope it can offer a sense of comfort, a feeling of being seen and including”. The song is included in a compilation by Red Hot – an international non-governmental organization dedicated to raising awareness of AIDS – “Transa”, created to raise awareness of the transgender community and enhance the work of trans and non-binary artists. .
Discographically stuck at “The big unknown” of 2018, part of the soundtrack of the film “Widows – Criminal Legacy”, Sade and her band this year celebrated the return of their records to stores, reissued on vinyl. The last album remains “Soldier of love” from 2010.
