70000 Tons of Metal, the great heavy metal cruise

It looks like a festival, although in reality it is not. It’s about the cruise 70000 Tons of Metala cruise that will take place between January 14 and 18 and in which dozens of groups will perform.

70000 Tons of Metal is a really crazy proposition for around 3,000 metalheads around the world. The cruise will depart from Miami (Florida) and between January 14 and 18 it will travel the route to Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic, and then return to the starting point.

The news is that tickets have already gone on sale. Each day of this cruise – aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas – will have metal activities 24 hours a day, from concerts to events organized by different artists, meetings with musicians, masterclasses, etc.

But if we publish the news it is because among the bands that have already confirmed their participation – remember that there will be more than sixty groups performing – we will be able to see Arch Enemy, Exodus, Battlelore, Moonspell, Evergrey, Uli John Roth, Hammerfall, Primal Fear, Rhapsody, Sinister, Origin, Wolfheart –who will present their new album for the first time– and many more. All of them will perform on four stages spread across the ship and each of them will perform twice so that you can see as many of your favorite groups on the lineup as possible.

There will also be a special concert – the Jamming In International Waters – in which members of various bands will come together to play their favorite songs from the history of metal. On the other hand, the organization emphasizes that there are no VIP areas or private spaces, so musicians and fans will meet in different spaces.
