12 1mnext finalists selected to participate in the concertone

The contest “1mnext“, organized by Icompany, is an annual initiative aimed at discovering new musical artists, who will bring the three selected (chosen from the 12 finalists) to perform during the May 1st concert in Rome, Promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL and organized by Icompany.

Participation in the contest also this year, as in the past, was free and open to musicians of all ages and genres, on condition that they presented original works (non -cover). This year, 150 artists have been selected for the next phase by the concert artistic committee.

The following evaluation of the participants took place through a mixed system that combines the vote of the online public (Open on March 15th) with that of a quality jury, chaired by Massimo Bonelliartistic director of the May 1st concert, and composed of Giulia Nannini (Rai Radio2), Lucia Stacchiotti (Icompany), Maria Venturini (artistic producer and author), Simona Orlando (Rockol) e Julian Borghesan (Rai Radio2).

The jury has a significant weight in the final judgment, contributing for 75% to the decision, while the online vote is subject to rigorous checks to ensure the integrity of the process, excluding suspicious votes from non -valid sources such as VPN or IP generators.

The final of the contest will be held on April 22 and the three winners, who will perform at the concert, will be announced on Rai Radio2 in the following days, 23, 24 and 25 April, during the “Dreams of Gloria” program.

In 2024 the contest was won by the singer -songwriter Lily of Turin with the song “Santa Rosalia”.

The event of the May 1st concert will return to the usual Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome, with the conduct of Noemi, Ermal Half And Bigmama (like last year) and with interventions by Professor Vincenzo Schettini.

The concert in the square will be free access and will be broadcast live on Rai 3, Rai Radio 2, Raiplay and Rai Italia.

In addition, the radio channel will follow the event live from the afternoon until late at night, offering interviews with the backstage artists and extra content for social platforms.
