Xoel López composes the official anthem for RC Deportivo de A Coruña
He RC Deportivo de A Coruña has presented its new official anthem. And it is nothing less than “Voa”, a piece composed by Xoel Lopez. It is now available on platforms and has a presentation video clip.
“Voa” is a piece composed by López and created to reinforce the identity of the club on the anniversary of its 120th anniversary and after its return to the First Division. The anthem seeks to connect with all generations of sports fans through “emotion, tradition and shared feeling.”
Xoel López thus signs the anthem of his city club and “his loves”, as he himself points out. The album arrives a few months after “Popular Oniria”the album he published last April. But the best news is that the anthem will premiere today, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the ABANCA-RIAZOR stadium, within the framework of the LXXXI edition of the Teresa Herrera Trophywith the presence of Xoel López along with the artists and groups that have participated in its recording.
The launch of ‘Voa’ is channeled through a video clip conceived as a tour of the most emblematic places in A Coruña that symbolizes the path to Riazor on a match day. Shot as a sequence shot, the video clip proposes an aerial journey through the city, connecting iconic spaces such as the Marina, the Méndez Núñez Gardens and the promenade itself. Xoel López has recorded the song with a long list of musicians among whom we can mention Adrián and Julián Seijas, Caamaño & Ameixeiras, the Kilomberos de Monte Alto, Xacarandaina, the Coro Juvenil Cantabile and the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, among others. The production was carried out by the musician himself together with Adrián Seijas and was recorded at the El Jardín Botánico, Bruar and Mans Studios.
