Winners of the PALCO 2026 Awards
Yesterday, Tuesday, November 3, at the Capitol Hall in Compostela, the second edition of the Galician Music Industry Awards took place, within the framework of PALCO, the first meeting point of the music industry held in Galicia.
A professional jury made up of the associations AGEM, AGATEC, THESGAL, AGPXC and CLUBTUREalong with the winners of the last edition of the PALCO Awardsselected the winning projects from a total of 42 finalists, 3 for each of the 14 general categories included in the awards.
Likewise, within the framework of the direct awards of the PALCO Awardsthe Board of Directors of AGEM decided to grant the Artist of the Year Award 2026 to The Rapants (pictured) and the Person of the Year Award to the Paideia Foundationwhile the public chose Surfing The Lérez by popular vote as the winning project of the Excellence in Audience Experience Award 2026. The gala of the PALCO Awards was presented by the Galician actress and content creator Carlota Mosquera and, at the end of the ceremony, the DJ Kris K DJ gave a performance.
The PALCO Awards marked the beginning of BOXthe new sectoral showcase for Galician music, which this Wednesday, November 4 and Thursday, November 5, will be held at the Gaiás Museum of the City of Culture of Galicia as a new meeting, connection and projection space for the Galician music sector. BOX will bring together nearly 500 music industry professionals around a program designed to share knowledge, discover projects, find new connections and create new opportunities; All information can be found at www.palco.gal.
