What to expect from Angelina Mango at Eurovision
With the first semi-final scheduled for tomorrow, 7 May, the sixty-eighth edition of theEurovision Song Contest, this year hosted by the Malmö Arena in Sweden and which will culminate on Saturday 11 May with the final evening. As the winner of the last Sanremo Festival, Angelina Mango represents Italy at the European singing competition with the Sanremo single “Boredom“.
The rehearsals and the performance
For the singer-songwriter rehearsals on stage of the Malmö Arena for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 they started last May 2nd, after the (unauthorized) diffusion online of an excerpt with some images with counterfutures in place of the artist, with a poleocjem coda. The first official videos were then shared on the event's channels, from which it was possible to discover some clues about the performance that Angelina Mango will present in Sweden. With a choreography curated by Mecnun Giasarknown as Majnoon (already working for Madonna and Billie EIlish), the performance of “La noia” includes a scenography immersed in a sort of enchanted forest and the singer will be accompanied by five dancers.
After the first fitting, which – with the look again entrusted to Nick Cerioni for Etro – saw Angelina Mango wearing a full nude jumpsuit with an overlapping corset and a black and burgundy embroidered bustier, the singer-songwriter returned to the Swedish arena stage for a second rehearsal last May 4ththis time with a black and red bodysuit with lace inserts and neck fastening, and the inevitable amphibians.

In compliance with the event regulations which state that each song cannot exceed three minutesthe version of “La noia” with which Angelina Mango will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 is slightly different from the one already known and which won Sanremo 2024. In version of the song that will be heard at MalmoIn fact, two lines of lyrics were cut from the second chorus.
The first step
The first chance to see Angelina perform at Eurovision will be Thursday 9 May during the second semi-final. This is because – as announced a few days ago – on the occasion of the semi-finals the five founding countries, which rightfully access the final, are invited to perform live, outside the competition. Angelina Mango will be protagonist again on stage during the final on May 10th.
The predictions
At the moment the favorite to win remains the Croatian Baby Lasagna, followed by Switzerland's Nemo and Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil for Ukraine. TOngelina Mango is given as fourth with a 12% chance of winning.
According to a press release issued by Spotify, currently, “La noia” by Angelina Mango has over 11.5 million global streams on the platform, recording the highest number of listeners in Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom. Furthermore, according to new audience data, the singer-songwriter is the second contestant of Eurovision 2024 among those most listened to globally on Spotifyimmediately after the Dutch Joost.
European tour
Ahead of her participation in Eurovision, Angelina Mango announced that in autumn he will tour Europe for the first time with her “European club tour”, which will see her perform live for six concerts in the cities of Monk, Colony, London, Brussels, Paris And Barcelona. The singer-songwriter is expected in Munich at the Hansa (30 October), in Cologne at the Club Bahnhof Ehrenfeld (1 November), in London at the 02 Academy Islington (3 November), in Brussels at La Madeleine (4 November), in Paris at Les Etoiles (9 November) and finally in Barcelona at Razzmatazz (11 November). The series of European dates will be preceded in the summer by some appointments at the main festivals in Italy and Europe, as well as by the “Angelina Mango nei club 2024” tour which will be held in autumn.
