War & Eric Burdon: a box with the reprint of three discs is coming

THE War announce the release of Eric Burdon & War – The Complete Cd Collection.

Outgoing the March 7th On Avenue/Rhino, the box brings the bands of the band on CD from 1970 to 1976, after the release immediately sold out of the vinyl box for the record store day 2022.

Available in a 4 CD configuration, the collection presents all the essential albums of that crucial period: “Eric Burdon Declas War”, “Black Man’s Burdon” And “Love is all around”.

Arriving at the beginning of the 55th anniversary of the birth of the War, the collection not only celebrates the pioneering journey of the band, but shows off the origins of a legacy defined by a fusion of musical elements and by a creativity that also resists at the time.

War They are one of the most important and lasting soul and funk groups in the history of music, founded in Long Beach, California. In 1970, the producer Jerry Goldstein he joined a band of seven elements with the former singer of the Animals Eric Burdon, an alliance that would continue to produce success number 1 in the world, ‘Spill the Wine ‘. 55 years later, this chapter of the history of War’s successes has now been reassembled and meticulously remastered by the award -winning engineer Bernie Grundman.

Having recently started the activities with a performance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The celebrations for the anniversary of the War will extend throughout 2025.

On February 7, the band will publish live in Japan 1974 – their first live album with all seven original members in 50 years – And this summer they will receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with dozen dates of the tour in the middle.
