Vasco: Gabriella Sturiani, the “Gabri” of the song, has died
Farewell to a piece of Vasco Rossi's history. Gabriella Sturani, the “Gabri” of the song of the same name that Vasco recorded in 1993 for the album “Gli spare above”, mother of one of the three children of the rocker from Zocca, Lorenzo, has died. Vasco had met her in 1983, but the relationship lasted two years. Having become pregnant with the rocker, the woman decided to have the child alone. Rossi would only recognize Lorenzo in 2003. In the song dedicated to her, released ten years after their meeting, Vasco sang: “Now listen to me / I don't want to lose you / But I don't want to fool you either / This adventure was madness / It's it was my fault / You are sixteen and I…”.
Vasco wanted to spare a thought for the woman, with a post shared on Instagram, an old photo of the two of them smiling, in the 80s: “I never thought that Gabriella would leave before me. Dear Lorenzo, your mother will be always ALIVE in our most beautiful memories. I hug you tightly… I am close to you… And I love you”.
