Ultravox, a celebratory box set for the 40th anniversary of “Lament” is coming out
Next September 6th the Ultravox to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of their seventh album “Lament”released in 1984, will publish a 5 LP and 7 CD+DVD box set for Chrysalis. The new version of the album has been remastered by Steven Wilsonas already happened for the last editions of “Vienna”, “Rage in Eden” And “Quartet”.
“Lament’ – 40th Anniversary Edition” contains 72 tracks, including 27 previously unreleased rarities, b-sides and remixes, as well as an 80s-style remixed version of the original album by Moby, Steven Wilson and Blank & Jones and Midge Ure. The box set also includes the new “Lament” 5.1 thought by Steven Wilson and an unreleased recording of a live performance in London from 1984.
The vinyl edition of the box set will be accompanied by a 20-page LP-sized booklet, featuring previously unreleased photos and materials, as well as an interview with the band by John Earls of Classic Pop. All formats have been designed to replicate the original artwork by the designer Peter Saville with black print on black cardboard.
