Tony Dallara, the screamer of Italian song
Antonio Lardera in art Tony Dallara he emerged on the Italian music scene in his early twenties at the end of the fifties, immediately distinguishing himself for a powerful and personal vocality that was totally different from that of the melodic performers in vogue at the time, one above all: Claudio Villa. Dallara has as its point of reference the overseas vocal group dei Platters. Due to his style he is defined as a ‘screamer’. His palmares includes a victory at the Sanremo festival in 1960 (paired with Renato Rascel) with the song “Romantic”. His success did not resist the change of times with the arrival of the beat in the mid-sixties and he shifted his main interest towards the world of painting with good satisfaction.
