Thom Yorke, a video for the studio version of “Dialing in”
After publishing the studio version of the new song “Dialing in“, previously performed live for several years, Thom Yorke shared the official video of the song, part of the soundtrack of the next Apple TV+ “Smoke” series. As reported by “Pitchfork”, to give life to the song with his own visual imagination, the frontman of Radiohead and The Smile was entrusted to Weirdcore to make a surreal video clip starring Taron Egerton, star of the new “Smoke”, in which the scenes of the series merge as a fire film.
The first live performance Of “Dialing in” by Yorke dates back to 2019, even if at the time the song was known with the title “Gawpers”. According to a press release relating to the series, and reported by “Pitchfork”, the unpublished song has in the meantime “finished to underline even more the themes of the series”. “Smoke”, which will debut on June 27, follows the events of a detective (played by Junae Smollett) and an investigator specialized in arson fires (played by Taron Egerton), committed to capturing a couple of serial pyromans who sow chaos and destruction in the north-western Pacific.
